Bio

Francesca “Frankie” Kokkines recently transferred to University of Illinois Springfield to continue her career as a student athlete for the 2021-22 season. Prior to that she attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where she was a student athlete for the last two years. Frankie graduated high school from Montini Catholic in 2019 where she played on the Lady Broncos. The Lady Broncos went 135-13 during her prep career, including four straight postseason appearances in the Super-Sectionals. The Lady Broncos were ranked nationally by Max Preps, Blue Star and USA Today. Frankie was a DuPage County All-Area Basketball Team selection and was named the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) Frank Kladis Memorial Outstanding Athlete of the Year in 2019. Frankie brings instructing experience, having coached grade school, middle school and high school aged girls fundamental basketball skills as well as developed social skills though bonding activities. The Wheaton native is currently pursuing a degree in early elementary education.
