High School tryouts
The Illinois Lady Lightning is a competitive girls’ basketball program founded in 2001. Since inception, it has been one of the premier girls' basketball programs in Illinois.
Our top High school teams compete in Select 40, Power 24, Nike Tournament of Champions, and other regional and national tournaments. Check out more on Select 40 here!
We do have teams that will play a more local schedule with less travel.

Tryout information

Sunday, February 23rd, 2025
3rd - 6th Grade: 3:20 - 4:20 PM
7th - 8th Grade: 4:20 - 5:30 PM
9th - 11th Grade: 5:30 - 7:00 PM
Registration is now open. Register for the grade you are currently in.
cost
$20 per player if preregistering online (credit card fees apply)
$25 cash onsite only
This fee will not be applied to the player club fee.

Players should come dress appropriately and ready to play.
Lady Lightning will provide basketballs.
Players should have a water bottle if necessary.
Fall/Winter
Fall/Winter basketball will run from September to March.
Spring/Summer
Spring/Summer basketball will run from March thru July.
